About

Marli Owadokun is an author, podcaster and curator of cultural journeys between Brazil and Africa.

From 1973 to 1982 she flew with Braniff International, one of the first Black Brazilian women to work as a flight attendant — a career that crossed continents, languages and social boundaries.

That life in motion became a body of work about memory and reconnection: books, a podcast, and ancestral journeys that return Africa's living presence to the story Brazil tells about itself.
